From classical and church music to movie themes and pop, nothing daunts the enthusiastic team of handbell ringers.
The group began over ten years ago when they borrowed handbells from a local school and raised money to buy a 3-octave set of their own.
This terrific team regularly play at a variety of places and events throughout the year such as
the ‘National Feast of Lanterns’.
They also perform at weddings where a speciality is to recreate the distinctive sound of church bells pealing out – popular at churches unable to offer this.
The men and women who ring handbells say that enjoying music is the main requirement needed and it is unnecessary to be able to read music as a number system is used. Email the leader, Daniel Pelling or phone 07749 190910.
